Remote Access Options

To provide remote support, we use Splashtop, a secure and industry-standard tool trusted by thousands of IT professionals. You’ll find two installation options below depending on your needs.

Unattended Access
(Request then Allow)

Recommended for business devices such as laptops and office computers.

Behaviour:

  • Designed for convenience while maintaining user privacy.
  • If no one is signed in, I can connect automatically for maintenance
  • If you are signed in, you’ll see a prompt to Allow Access before I can connect.
  • If you do not respond within 30 seconds, the session will connect automatically.
  • You can close the connection at any time and adjust settings later if you wish.
  • The streamer starts automatically after restart.

Attended Access
(Manual Authorization Required)

Recommended for personal computers where access should only occur when you grant permission.

Behaviour:

  • You must be signed in and approve the connection each time.
  • If no one is signed in, the connection will not be allowed.
  • If you do not respond within 30 seconds, the request will cancel automatically.
  • You can disconnect or uninstall the app at any time.
  • The streamer starts automatically after restart.

Privacy and Security

  • Each session uses encrypted connections (TLS/AES-256).
  • Only MethodSMB can access your system, and only with your permission.
  • No unattended monitoring or tracking takes place outside of scheduled support.
